I'd chock it up to simple over engeneiring. When you have metal held by
rubber to more metal, you should put a ground across the gap if we're
talking about an electrical body here, to prevent random static buildup,
and to elliminate the possability of weird things happening. Maybe they
took a hint from world rally and their grounds? =)
For what it's worth, I don't have that ground either, and it'll be a
LONG time before I get around to THAT fix...
Although I have added a large ground across the rear of the engine, from
the lower intake bracket to the (power stearing fluid heater?) which
bolts to the chasis... Does anyone know what I'm talking about? What the
hell is that? =P
