Romeo, the best solution for "silencing" your muffler is a "resonator" tip or whatever it is called. You basically replace the existing tip with one that is itself a resonator (dual walls and some sort of perforated inner wall). it may cost some for a good stainless steel one (upwards of USD30) but it works beautifully.
