I swapped brakes without changing the master cylinder on my 96. I haven't had any complaints at all. I've been on a road course and brake feel could be improved a bit, but I didn't have much of a problem modulating the brakes at the limit. If you don't have the money, it's not necessary. If you do, it seems like it would improve brake feel. Khiem
