1 word... Noise.

Intake, header and exhaust make noise some people don't want to hear. Being
performance enthusiasts, we don't mind NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)
compared to the performance gains. Cams introduce loping sometimes as well.
That's why the manufacturers are starting to make their own parts, so that
the people who want to sacrifice the NVH for more power can do so. Or, they
make enthusiast models like SVT Focus for example. Can't wait till NISMO
starts putting out stuff. Hopefully they won't forget the venerable SR20!
