Rod Bearings

So, after giving the car a nice complete tune up today and finally getting rid
of the constant misfire and surging, I think I need to put rod bearings in it.
I do not know if this will fix the noise, but i suspect that it might. I was
wrong about the timing, My light was going out. In reality the timing was at
17 degrees. Pulling it back to around 10 makes the noise pretty much go away.
The noise only comes on at 3250 RPM and above under light throttle. No start
up noise at all, No noise at 7500 RPM's, WTF? Anyways, I have searched the
archives and seen some info on this, But does anybody have a good page/faq for
doing rod bearings with the motor in the car? I guess I need to do this for my
own sanity, Or else I just might let it blow and put a DET in it....Maybe some
other time :p
