S3 cams in a Silvia SR20DET

Hey guys,

I am installing JWT S3 cams into an S13 Silvia
SR20DET. The JWT intake and exhaust cams both have
short dowel pins on the ends. The Silvia intake cam
has a short dowel pin, but the exhaust cam has a
longer dowel pin that engages with the crank angle
sensor drive gear.

This dowel is similar to the alignment dowels on a
flywheel. How do I remove this dowel? It seems to be a
tight press fit and vice grips will not work. Should I
take the cam to a machine shop or place that
resurfaces flywheels?
