There are several possible scenarios for a skipped timing chain. Note that
skipping one tooth on a cam sprocket causes a 27.7 degree change. (26
teeth on a cam sprocket. 360/26=13.8 degree change. But the cam goes
around once for every two crank rotations so multiply by two.)

1) It can skip a tooth on the intake cam. Since the distributor is driven
off the exhaust cam, it will not be affected.

2) It can skip a tooth on the exhaust cam. This would affect the
distributor by 27.7 degrees as well.

3) It can skip a tooth on the crank sprocket (less likely according to a
recent discussion on the list). This will affect both cams and the
distributor by 13.8 degrees.
