and a half it's been a dust collector in my garage. </span><span style="background-color: transparent;">The dreaded 5th Gear Popout issue got so bad that the emissions test facilities here refused to test it on the dyno - they said it had to have all five gears working. It wasn't old enough or rare enough to qualify for the 'collector car' emissions exemption and no emissions test means no registration. Money and time have been tight the past couple of years so I haven't been able to fix it. It was '95-'96 in my case. I am just very grateful for what I have learned and continue to learn from<br>all you smart guys. I took the car out for some mountain driving today and enjoyed it as I always do. I only put on about <br>1000-1500 miles per year these days. It needs tires and the<br>Bridgestone guys have stopped making the RE9xx Potenzas in 185/60-14. The choices in the original size have really dwindled.<br>It runs great although it rattles and squeaks a bit these days but I have someone in mind for the car and intend to restore it for that purpose. <br>I only pray the rust doesn't get too far into the sills before I can put on my big boy pants and start work.<br>Again, my deep

Sorry Kieran it might have been some one else :)<br><br>Now I'm in the northwest near Bellingham WA (about 15 minutes from the border with Vancouver, Canada). About 2 years ago I found a red 1991 NX2K in southern California with 68,000 miles! After a bunch of back and forth with the guy who had bought it from its original owner, I made a deal and flew down. That 24 hour drive north was a fantastic trip that I'll never
forget! (I think I wrote a long winded tale about the trip back that some of you might have seen on the list...)<br><br>Well, I've put about 7,000 miles per year on that little red rocket as a weekend fun car; now it's time for me to move on. I thought I'd offer it here first to see if anyone was interested in a nearly bone stock classic NX2000. ?It has some seat wear on the driver's seat and a cracked dash. Other than that, it's fantastic and very fun to drive! ?Original wheels still, no lowering, modifying or accidents. ?Rubber seals in the T-tops are brittle but mostly intact, it does leak a little bit in the rain but not too bad.<br><br>I wouldn't hesitate to drive this thing cross county; it's been dead nuts reliable.<br><br>Anyone interested? ?Talk about a cool road trip back in this thing - drive down the coast a ways in the beautiful northwest and then head east or...
